Glanmorfa accommodates residents all in single rooms with nine rooms having en-suite facilities and there are two lounge areas available for the residents to use.
Our gardens are designed to stimulate and encourage service users to have the use of outdoor space with the aroma of plants, herbs and the sound of nature. We encourage our service users to have as much input to the garden area as they wish and a team of activities coordinators help the service users achieve this.
We also have a purpose built semi-independent flat comprising a large bedroom with en-suite facilities and a separate private lounge area with galley kitchen, patio doors leading onto a safe and easily accessible patio area. The room is attached to the home and has 24-hour care with all call systems and alarms that regulations require.
A new hydrotherapy centre has been built in the grounds and is staffed by qualified therapists. Residents have access to this facility through an appointment system.
We are situated in the heart of the historic town of Kidwelly with the world famous Kidwelly castle within viewing and walking distance of the home. All local amenities are within walking distance and buses and trains are available to spend time in Carmarthen, Swansea or Llanelli. We are also on the doorstep of the award winning Pembrey Country Park and beach. Tenby and the Gower coastline are also just a short journey away.
Our homes provide a stimulating and therapeutic approach to care with a person centred outlook and a team comprising of Neuro Physiotherapy, exercise therapy, and one to one activities.
